Travis Shears joined the team at MSP in January of 2024 following the Smith + Howard merger to focus primarily on tax compliance and financial advisory projects specific to logistics and manufacturing businesses. Travis’s experience includes stints at Top 100 firms, as well as in leadership in the logistics industry.

“Prior to joining the team at MSP, I served as Vice President of Tax at U.S. Xpress Enterprises, Inc., which was the fifth-largest truckload carrier in the U.S. before it was acquired by Knight-Swift Transportation in July 2023,” Travis says. “In that role, I faced unique challenges that now enable me to approach solutions for my trucking and logistics clients with the industry-specific knowledge I gained in the trenches.”
